Chammi Inc. produces romance fantasy dramas for women. For a new series about to get underway, we are looking for creators to make the videos with us.

For the selection, you will make a sample video of about 1 to 1.5 minutes using the scenario and designs we provide. After watching it, we plan to commission paid production work from the creators we feel are a good fit.

* Paid production is planned to start in November.

Original title: 『捨てられた令嬢は黒魔法使いの花嫁になりました』（仮題）
Using its text storyboard, make a video of about 1 to 1.5 minutes.
It consists of 3 scenes and 17 cuts.

Materials We Provide

  • Text storyboard (content, dialogue, and direction notes for each cut)
  • Character designs (turnarounds of the main characters and more)
  • Background designs (overall views of each location)

Distribution of the materials has ended.

Characters and Look

Match the characters and look to the designs we provide. The world is Western fantasy, with a CG look close to live action.

Backgrounds and Direction

We provide overall views of the backgrounds only. Please create the detailed background for each cut yourself, within that setting. Where the storyboard says "up to you," such as magic effects, you are free to direct them as you like.

Who We're Looking For

Who We're Looking For

  • People with experience in video production or art who bring AI into their work
  • People with editing experience or knowledge who can build a video around a directorial intent
  • People who understand the intent behind revision requests and keep communication smooth during production
  • People who are passionate about making good work

You don't need to know romance fantasy well. We provide the designs, and our production lead will explain the nuances of acting and direction in detail. We value generation skill, speed, and an understanding of film over knowledge of the genre.

In the selection, we mainly look at these three points.

  1. Do the cuts connect naturally and flow as one video?
  2. Are the characters and look of the provided designs maintained?
  3. Does the video capture the intent of the storyboard's direction notes?

Selection & Feedback

Selection and Results

Our production team will watch every video submitted. From those, we will select one Grand Prize winner and two Excellence Prize winners, and commission paid production of the new series from one or two of them. We will discuss terms such as fees and workflow with each person individually. Even if you don't win a prize or receive a commission this time, we may contact you for future projects.

Every applicant will receive comments on their work along with the results. From the production lead's perspective, we will tell you specifically what worked well and what could go one step further.

Outstanding works will be featured on Chammi's official accounts and receive TapNow credits (Tappy). The participation prize will be refunded to everyone who applies and meets the entry requirements.

Entry Requirements

Entries that meet all of the following requirements are eligible for selection and the participation prize (5,000 Tappy).

  1. The video is made with TapNow.
  2. You have made every scene and cut in the scenario (3 scenes, 17 cuts). Adding a few extra cuts is fine.
  3. The content follows the provided storyboard. (If scenes or cuts are missing, or the content differs, your entry may not be eligible.)
  4. You use the provided character designs and assets.
  5. All voice audio, such as dialogue and monologue, is in Japanese.
  6. Landscape 16:9, with voice and music, about 1 to 1.5 minutes long.
  7. The applicant is 18 or older. (You may apply as an individual or as a team.)
Terms

Important Notes

  • The rights to the provided materials (storyboard and designs) belong to Chammi Inc. They may be used only to make and publish your entry. Redistribution, use for AI training, and creating other works or merchandise with the characters are prohibited.
  • You may publish your entry on your own social media and portfolio (non-commercial use only). When you do, please state clearly that it is an entry to this open call.
  • Your entry may be posted on the official social media accounts and websites of Chammi and TapNow to introduce this open call, announce results, and promote Chammi (including edits such as trimming).
  • Chammi continuously produces romance fantasy and other works. Even if a future Chammi work resembles the direction or ideas of your entry, you may not raise an objection. Chammi will not use your entry itself in its commercial works.
  • No fee or production cost is paid for making your entry. Paid production begins only after a separate contract is signed following the selection.
  • Do not use expressions that imitate characters from existing works or the appearance or voice of real people, or music and materials that have not been cleared for use. Any rights disputes with third parties must be resolved by the applicant.
